Welcome to Mariemont!
Mariemont’s conception began in the 1920’s, when Mary Emery purchased land from the two prominent families of the time, Stites and Ferris, to build her “model town”. Dissatisfied by other communities within Cincinnati, she wanted to create a ‘National Exemplar’ and provide residents with a high quality of life.
With the help of internationally renowned town planner, John Nolen, Mary Emery was able to achieve her dream and build a true community with a Tudor style town square that continues to thrive to this day.
Fun Fact: Mariemont is one of only a few communities in the US that still has an elected town crier.
